Our Structure for Investing
In any sound investment strategy there are major themes,
financial criteria for the inclusion and maintenance of a
subject, and criteria for selling all or part of a subject.
All of the analysis below is done within the context of 1) our
long-term investment themes, 2) the effect that each issue has
in relationship to the overall portfolios business
characteristics (revenue growth, profit margins, earnings growth
and evaluation), and 3) our sell discipline.

Equities
An instrument that signifies an ownership position, or equity, in a corporation, and represents a claim on
its proportionate share in the corporation's and profits. A person holding such an ownership in the company
does not enjoy the highest claim on the company's earnings. Instead, an equity holder's claim is subordinated to
creditor's claims, and the equity holder will only enjoy distributions from any earnings after these higher
priority claims are satisfied, also called equities or equity securities or corporate stock.

Fixed Income
Bonds are debt issued by corporations and governments throughout the world.
When you purchase a bond, you are loaning money to the issuer,
who in turn, pays you interest for the use of your capital.
Bond markets most often rise when stocks are out of favor.
Bonds are subject to market fluctuation and may be worth less than the original cost upon redemption.
